Verse of the Day: Mercy

Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.

For his merciful kindness is great toward us: and the truth of the LORD endureth for ever. Praise ye the LORD.

Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.

Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to thy mercy:

He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?

Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.

I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O LORD, will I sing.

And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repenteth him of the evil.

For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.

For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

But while he was still in the distance, his father saw him and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.

But Jesus did not allow him. 'Go home to your own people,' He said, 'and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and what mercy He has shown you.'

So Jesus had compassion on them, and touched their eyes: and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

But when the kindness of God our Savior and His love for mankind appeared, He saved us, not by works of righteousness that we had done, but according to His mercy, through the washing of new birth and renewal by the Holy Spirit.

But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ, even when we were dead in our trespasses. It is by grace you have been saved!

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.

For He says to Moses: 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.' So then, it does not depend on man’s desire or effort, but on God’s mercy.

The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh.
